The violence in the inner cities is so disheartening and beyond scary... ;) :) A great offering for the septolet contest here - thanx so much for sharing and best of luck to you at the polls! ;) :)

This is a very well written and sad poem about the horrendous shootings that have been happening lately. Your poem has quite an emotional impact on the reader. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you. It was terrible losing my child.
-
I'm so sorry, I didn't realize that you were talking about your own child. How does God let something like this happen? I'm not sure I could survive it. Again, my sincere condolences.
-
No Problem. It just slipped out. Sorry on my part as I can usually not let my feelings slip like that. I am sorry if I caused you any discomfort. Not my aim at all. We are all adjusting to the loss.
-
You know another thing, we may not see but there is always a reason. I will never lose faith and know I will see my child again.

Thank you for your kind review. I hesitated before posting this one buy thought "I am not the only one. There are more who have lost a child this way".

What a powerful septolet poem this is, and one that should be placed on a bulletin board and posted throughout our major cities, IMHO. Not that it would deter the criminals, but it might serve to enhance reporting of crime by the public.
Excellent!

Dear Mystery Writer,
You have to wonder if those people who are callous enough to be shooting off guns in crowded and awkward places even care if their bullets hit the wrong target. These people and their reasoning is far beyond me.
Your post is sad. It reminds us of the fragility of life. And the fact it's supposed to be our job to GUARD IT not destroy.
Good job on the word count, though I MIGHT consider increasing and/or bolding the font to help it stand out better against the dark background.
Thanks and good luck!

Very good tip. I hadn't thought of that. I really appreciate it when I get a good tip from a reviewer. Thank you so much. Stay well and safe.

This septuplet, For Andy, brings up the worst part of the sad effects of crime like this. Bullets fly from illegal guns in the hands of cowardly thugs and ironically kill the innocent.

I do so appreciate the time and kindness you have shown in reviewing this post. I was hesitant to put it out there for the world to see but it helps to do so.

Your words are sad and so true. Many young lives have been lost to stray bullets. Your poem pays tribute to those individuals and is relevant to today's world. "Wrong place, Wrong time," are words true to life.

This kind of thing should never happen. When folks are more concerned with their own agenda and anger they forget about others including the innocent ones. Good write with an important message.
