Your poem really tugged at my heart. Though it felt personal, your poem is one that most every reader can relate to, whether it be caregiver, relative, friend or nurse or those readers who've been in that bed.
I like how you compared the nurse's care and nurturing to that of a mother.
Well done. Very best wishes in the contest!

Your kind review is so much appreciated. Most nurses I have known have given the care that I described. Really essential workers and especially in the events surrounding this past virus outbreak.

Love your poem. The nurses are exceptional human beings. They are in the medical field, so they know the patient comes first. Their life can be jeopardized by the pandemic but very needed whenever. They, as well as doctors, are very kind people who are always there for us.

I love this. Nurses are like angels and we are lucky to have them. My daughter is studying nursing and will soon be an RN. I'm so proud of her. Best of luck in the contest.

I just retired from my RN nursing. She has chosen the most rewarding career in existence. Would still be nursing but tire out too easily these days. Pushing 80...lol She will do well. Wish her the best for me.

I like the artwork you choose to do with your poem, I remember my first stroke, how nice the nurses took care of me
I was truly bless I thank them from the bottom of my heart.

I am sorry you have had that experience. I always try to give as much stimulation to my patients as possible for some cannot communicate but are still alert inside. Thanks for your kind review.

Well written poem about nurses they certainly go above and beyond their call of duty. Our nurses are the angels without wings. Remembering important little things. So true. I work in healthcare not a nurse but I see all the good they do.

First it is a well done poem giving in detail what a nurse will do for their patients. Great words in celebration of nurses who particularly in these trying times are being tested and are up to the challenge.
Good luck in the contest.

A very well-written poem about the nurses that are seen as essential workers over the globe. They are caring and loving humans who have empathy with their patients while they are sick and helpless.

Can't walk or run, can't even move my head,
Or feed myself, can't even comb my hair.
Each of us who knows the experience of being helpless will hold nurses in high esteem.

It's a wonderful tribute to a wonderful group of people -nurses- who tend and care for us in the most selfless ways especially now during this pandemic and health crisis -thanks for sharing
