This is an interesting post. So much was accomplished, so much happened, and the children are growing like weeds. Well written.

There was plenty happening here in this chapter. The growing pains that went along with the changing times
were very familiar. They were eventful years and it seems
time just flew by in the seventies. Our families growing up
fast and Tec knowledge went berserk then too. Well done, Beth. Nancy:)

I especially liked the part about how as parents you probably thought the world would end when you started smelling incense and wondered what else they might be doing. The suicides were through the roof in part because we did not treat them with honor and medical help. We were just beginning to recognize PTSD for what it was. I liked how you present the life and times.

It seems things are steadily changing. It's a shame you had to learn about crime the hard way. The little flash-back in time was a nice touch. My Uncle listened to his 8-tracks well into the mid-80s. Until they were so old they wouldn't play anymore. Thank, god for small miracles. It's. well-written, very interesting. I look forward to reading more.

You had an exciting time during this period of writing, and losing vehicles seems to be a hazard of life, also kids growing into something more than kids, I look back fondly when my kids, my wife and I were gathered around the tea table. They were among the happiest days of my life. Beautifully written Beth, this must be cathartic for you. Well done, blessings Roy

Yes. I too experienced something like you did but I turned the porch light and two black kids ran from my car before they could do anything.
Love your story. Takes me all the way back through yesterday.
I sent you a cool snap over there. Rain will be soon.

Thank you for continuing to support me and my memories. I'm so glad I'm triggering your memory as well. I did ask for the cool snap but I did receive it. I haven't got the rain yet. You need to dance a little faster.

I admit, I wasn't planning on reviewing and reading your whole piece.
But I cannot lie when I say you trapped me with your writing. It's great!
These stories (I've read a few others), are wonderful. Because they are real. They are stories of your life, that you're willing to share. I also think it is great you're telling this and getting them in writing for your children. I love how you write it like you're talking to your husband. I know for me, writing really helps me get things out.
This is a great piece & great memories.
Thank you for sharing,
TommyWrites~

This scribbling is for your children; this speaks recalling memories of your life about needs for growing your family and it is realistically expressed; well said, well done; thanks for sharing this. ALCREATOR
