Great Scot! This is definitely a horror story, Mystery Author. It sounds like a serial killer with a specific interest in little kids.
The last verse is the killer,
"So now I have her chained and gagged
to muffle out her cries.
I open up my trophy jar
that, too, will hold her eyes." ... creepy! This should do well in the contest. Good Luck!
