So very well done because indeed social distance is an oxymoron and of course the play on oxymoron works double time in this terrific senryu. You've captured all the elements of the form beautifully.

Great writing! It compacts our present controversy in just three lines! You`re right: Social distance is an oxymoron: we live in society (not alone) but we need to have at lease 6 ft separation (alone). Difficult to be in the middle: alone, but not that far away...

Yeah,., I get it al the social distancing is touch and cramps our styles but if it saves lives, it is worth it. It isn't nearly as tragic as death.

Yes, I can see that and I think I've many people suggest the same, but that is the way of the world. We live in perpetual hypocrisy and an oxymoron state. Who dares tell the Emperor he has no clothes?
