This is really beautiful, Yvette. Lovely addition to the Prayers book. Many will be comforted by this call to relax into the simplicity of the everyday-life blessings that are constant in season and out of season. It's truly one moment at a time, in this life.
Well done!
Lucy

Thanx so much for your encouraging review here, Lucy -- feels kinda weird responding as it really was such an emotional write (you know, one of those 'cleansing' ones, if that makes any sense...). But those stars are a wonderful reassurance that my words resonated (and didn't step on any toes... sometimes I get accused of being 'unfeeling' cuz I'm just not one to 'show' my feelings...) Take care of you out there , and make the most of your Sunday (whatever that may be)! ;) :) ;) ;) Yvette

Well, just remember. That everything we do is interactive. So give and receive, as it were. Whether consciously or unconsciously. When one is more conscious, as you are, then one tends to worry more about what others think. But everything is governed by our perceptions which are formed by our perspective.
This is what I am currently studying now :)
I have a very difficult time writing things "feeling" also. I think it's because I was a trauma nurse for 30 years, and I've seen about everything. What I've also seen is that most people create their own misery and circumstances. Including me. So I've learned that true compassion doesn't come from the mind, so it isn't in words. Because words come from the mind.
Compassion is from the spirit, which vibrates feelings apart from words. In other words, that which is BEHIND the words. Motivating the words. Hopefully.
So one can write any words, but it's the vibration of the feeling behind them that the soul of another picks up when he/she reads the words.
Although, there is much to say about picking and choosing "appropriate" words. But it falls under the category of elegance of design, aesthetics. Words, pictures, colors etc.
I happen to believe that all of it is important. The whole picture.
Like your presentations. They are comprehensively lovely. Because you make selections on every level.
But, the most important, is the wavelengths of the feeling behind the presentation. From the spirit.
And others will pick up on that first.

Conclusion: You, Yvette, have nothing to worry about :)
Everything you do is ultimately PERFECT!
And that's the rest of the story....

Today is Yom Kippur. Have a blessed day of At One Ment.
    Cheers!
    Lucy

Yvette, you have me in tears with this jewel. Absolutely beautiful.

How I wish I could enjoy FanStory like I used to -- so many glitches with my account (and old laptop) and so many aches and pains if I sit too long in one spot though...

And now I have to go and check on another friend (Yvonne), thanks to your notes! (But I'll be back to investigate this multi-author book...)

Yvette,
This is a well written poem that gives Yvonne solace and good advice on grieving in her own way in her own time and with God's help. Falling apart in these time is a healthy thing to do.
Keep writing and stay healthly.
Joan

Don't mention it, Yvette. Yes, writing is always cathartic for me. I find the most emotional and personal poems resonate more often than not.

Your poem is filled with a mother's wisdom. It is true that words and sympathy cant do what the simple, little familiar things can. Only God knows the depth of despair.
This is so lovely of a poem because it's meant to send love:)

Wonderful poem Yvette, definitely from one mother to another mother. You did indeed capture the loss, the questions, the people and the feelings involved. Once a mother, always a mother who loves and cares.

Yvette,
I totally agree with your ending that it's ok to fall apart, and to fall into God's loving arms, especially during times of sadness and grief.
Your touching tribute credits God for being in control of the wind and the sun; I pray His love gets this person during her pain.
Excellent work, Yvette.
Blessings,
Cindy
