Call of Love, what a perfect title for your entry for this contest. Thank you for your authors note about the mating season for the deer.
Best to you in this contest.

Ciao Gert!
the contest is over ..I did get one vote ...I guess people prefer to read about the multicoloured leaves.
I'm glad my entry and notes were helpful in describing a world unknown to you...Mother Nature's creatures are truly wondrous.
I hope you enjoyed reading the dishes I mentioned too ...they are easy to make and you can find step to step tutorials in English on internet.
Ciao!

This is an exquisite Ode to Autumn in the short 5-7-5 format portraying an essential component part of autumnal activity 'deep bellows echo in mist' wish I had 6- should make it to winner's enclosure

Very informative 5-7-5 poetry on the ritual of the male red deer. Your piece was well conceived and encouraged me to find out more about this beautiful creature. The title was perfectly chosen and your photo added a wonderful attraction to your poem. I enjoyed very much! Wishing you good luck in the contest!

My mistake ..I should have offered more info on these beautiful creatures. ..m
I live in the countryside so I am more acquainted with ️mother nature's wonders .
In the mating season the males fight to have the right to mate with the females ..
The females ..( together with their daughters and males under 2 years old ) live in groups all year round .
Mature males live in groups but in the mating season they separate and each one tries to win a harem for himself .. When the mating season ends he leaves the harem .. He has acbieved his goal ...He has passed on his genes and secured the next generation of deers.

Thanks! I do think when a poem (or story) encourages one to want to read more o to further research a subject, that's an additional bonus to a good work of art! Again, well done!
