Getting a new car is always exciting. I've never been to Niagara Falls. I think everybody else in the world has be me. As you know I enjoy reading your memoirs and you're going a good job writing them.

Oh Beth, I felt so bad for you reading this! I can't imagine how stressful that trip must have been for you. Seems like your husband was not used to being around four children all day long. And you have the right attitude for a traveler - easy to adapt and flexible to go with things that don't go according to plan. You can plan only so much but with kids and travel, you have to be willing to go with the flow (and bring medicines and extra food!) You were amazing to be able to carry the whole family through such an exhausting trip! By the way, I think the pronunciation of Amish is AH mish. https://dictionary.cambridge.org/us/pronunciation/english/amish

Thank you so much for the review and comments. All trips with children have some moments when you wonder why you're putting yourself through this, but I like traveling in spite of the headaches I did learn to say Amish correctly before the trip ended Carol was saying it right.

Elaine and I would spontaneously go on weekend trip, putting a mattress in the back of the station wagon, I later bought a caravan and went touring extensively with that caravan, then we touring gospel band, entertaining in churches, clubs and outdoor venues, I loved driving holidays. We toured the eastern states of America and Canada, when we holiday, including the Lancaster county and the Amish people. This Is a wonderful story Beth. Blessings Roy

Thank you so much for reading this and sharing things about your own vacation. Traveling in something with a place to lie down is a lot easier than a car trip. He wanted to try out the new car but we would have been more comfortable in the Van. Thank you for pointing out my spags.
