This one-hundred-word flash fiction story, A Family Picnic, has the required word count and necessary words, and creates a fun scene for a family enjoying a much needed day out.

This is a great entry for the 100 Word Story writing prompt. It had my attention from beginning to end, and I chuckled at the humorous end. Who doesn't like ice cream? Best of luck in the contest!

What a fun contest entry, Mystery Author. I enjoyed the light-hearted approach to the prompt. You used the required words well to tell this little story. They all fit in nicely--never forced. The image is a good pairing, too.
Best wishes.
Thanks for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan
