Your contest entry is well-written and very poignant. It was easy to follow and see everything you mentioned. The discussion you and your mom had about the ventilator sounded just like a child being reprimanded by mom--even though you were the ages stated. I'm thrilled your mom got to see the beautiful lights before returning to the home, and that is such a special memory for you.
