That is wonderful philosophical advice. It's hard not to be affected by fear when things are "closing in." But keeping one's "mind and heart open" will help us see blessings and possibilities. Best wishes in the contest!

There is absolute wisdom and truth in this write. I think it is a good write for the senryu contest. It is especially important right now with all that is going on in the world.

beautiful senryu! i have not known this poetry form until now; I think your poem is perfect. Moreover, I like the message that it conveys. its almost a truism that the more closed in you are feeling, the more open you should make your heart and mind. well done.

i really like this senryu. the only thing i would suggest changing would maybe be a dark blue background to go with the picture and maybe a white or fuschia (i can't spell right now. sorry. lol) text. i think that would be stunning. however, that's just personal choice. the colors and words you chose are very uplifting and the words themselves are inspiring in such dark times as these. keep up the amazing work. i look forward to reading more by you :)
