BrookeClara: I'm just wondering if anyone has ever considered positing the idea to fanstory of publishing book collections of diverse people's work on the site under themes. Even on-line publishing would work. For example I've noticed that there are a great number of people here writing good children's poetry. Or if not children's poetry, poetry that would work for children. Just as one idea. If journals were published online by the site no one would have to give up rights to the work but I bet some pretty great collections could be put together, even if just to print out and share with friends and family. The site members and whoever the fanstory conoscente who run the site are could decide on book themes, then there'd be voting.Compiling the stuff on line would be easy. And then maybe there could be some small price for members to pay to get the completed collection. It would be fun for a lot of members I think to give a book as a gift and say 'I work with these writers.' or 'I'm in this collection.' |

The multi-author book isn't making a collection of other people's work so much as them writing (or contributing existing work, I think) pieces to a single book. But if you want to have other people's work easily available for your own reading, the simplest thing is probably to put them in your bookcase - that's one of the options at the top right of the page when reading something. Means you don't have to go through someone's portfolio every time you want to see it. Hope this helps! :) - | ||
