Writing is my passion - it keeps me grounded. I lived on a farm with a 55+ trailer park across the street. Many of my stories are derived from the hilarious adventures of my neighbors. Often, I will write stories about my oldest daughter, who recently suffered three brain aneurysms and a stroke and is now living with us full-time. I write from my heart and hope my stories will touch people and leave them laughing or thinking long and hard about life. I've recently published my book under the pen name of Gwen Thorne, Caught in the Land of UN. I will be publishing two more books shortly. One book, From Tragedy to Triumph, is about a trafficked young girl. The other book, Sarah Pearl Patterson's Endless Summer, is a children's chapter book about a little girl who tries to reverse summer to avoid returning to school. My story of our adopted daughter from Haiti, Hallelujah Baby, is published in Chicken Soup for the Adopted Soul.
