Debi Pick Marquette : Does anyone else ever click on reserve to enter a contest; then it brings you to another page where it looks like you're supposed to confirm it, therefor click on reserve again.
Then I think it signs you up twice and charges you twice for it.
I did write Tom about it but got another member who just said it sounds like I double clicked. However does that mean I shouldn't click on the second page?? It happens quite a bit to me and wonder if this is just me or anyone else?
Jannypan (Jan) : I do see your name twice on several contests and even on the list of members, Debi.

If I understand your question, this is what I do ~

SITE CONTESTS ~ there is no fee, when you click one time to reserve a place, above that it says 'there is no fee' ( or something like that) click one time to enter and you're done. It gives you the opportunity to enter your work, but you can ignore that until you're ready. That's all you need to do.

MEMBER SPONSORED/DAILY WRITING PROMPT ~ click on reserve a place and you're done. You can enter IF you want right then, or come back to it. But just click once on reserve a place.

YOU CAN SEE THE CONTEST YOU HAVE RESERVED UNDER THE "my" TAB ON THE TOP.

PERHAPS YOU'RE CLICKING TWICE THINKING YOU NEED TO EXIT THAT PAGE.
Just click once. After you reserve your place, then click on 'read' 'messages' or even the Fan Story tab to get back to where you can continue. Don't click again while on the contest page as that is like reserving twice. -

Debi Pick Marquette : I knew that God sent me here for a reason and I thought that perhaps it was because I now have more time to write and He thought I could do more here spreading His message of Love. Debi Pick Marquette : I am a very emotional writer, as I completely, and sometimes embarrassingly wear my heart on my sleeves!
I would drive my family crazy if I didn't have my writing to throw my emotions into, because the feelings I have in my heart bubbles up into a loving volcano if I don't have a place to release it. However when I'm no longer here, they will never be able to say,
"I wonder if mom (or grandma) loved us??" They hear it everyday, whether they like it or not! 😊
Melody Ringo: As a mom and grandmother to eight precious grands, I can relate, Debi! Writing is an emotional outlet for me too! -

I started writing poetry when I was 8 years old, which in my poem, " Why I Write", tells of why that was almost the end to my writing. However, my mother's loving hand in the teacher disaster, changed everything for me!
Then when I married & started my family, I still loved to write, but didn't have as much time. Since Covid, I had extra time on my hands, so I started writing more often again. After writing a poem for everyone in my entire family,
(husband, children, grandkids, siblings, etc) I was able to accomplish my biggest bucket list item, by having a book made for each of them, called Expressing Love for my Family, with my Prayers, Poetry & Pictures. Each book is the same, so hopefully they can enjoy reading each other's poems.
It was something that I always hoped to do, while still alive.
Now I can concentrate on other writing, that I hope to accomplish while enjoying my time on FanStory.
