Fun & uplifting without 'poor pitiful me' syndrome
I read ALL the entries.
I'm voting for "A Fond Memory" because I remember similar childhood events-- from the point of view of an outsider child who envied the pure joy of children who ran on hot pavement barefooted & were allowed to cool off with water rushing from the pump!
What a happy poem! Loved how descriptive it was!
