Maggie squinted, watching the alarming news.
Boss, her cat, purred In her lap, as Maggie learned of the mini-crime wave in her neighborhood.
Senior citizens, living alone, were prime targets.
"Boss, why aren't you a German Shepherd when I need one?"
The cat purred on.
Moving from the window into the darkness, Rocky put his knife away to look for an easier target.
He was not tangling with a lunchroom lady, even a retired one!
