Wild Whirlwind

Minute Contest Winner 
Disheveled drops of jagged rain
assail the plain;
their stinging blows
subdue the rows.

This wrenching, drenching twisting storm
is not the norm;
black roiling skies
wild whirlwind cries.

It hurls its lances to the ground;
with thundr'ous sound
its path lies prone
its end unknown.
