Still heard...

Unanswered Prayers

I have my doubts I must admit,
when I say prayers does God see fit
to listen to all that I say? 
Know what's in my heart, when I pray?

For many pray just like I do.
I'm sure before the day is through,
millions of prayers will reach His ear,
among them, is mine one He'll hear?

And if that's true how will I know?
Unanswered prayers make my doubts grow.
I'm sure that it is not just me,
who questions what I can not see.

Still, there's a sense of peace I've known
from praying, and that feeling's grown.
And though there's no proof from above,
likewise, there is no proof of love.

Yet, I know it's inside of me,
a feeling, one that I can't see.
Still, it is with me everyday,
the grandest part of life I'd say.

So therefore thinking critically,
I know that surely God hears me.
For all my life I have believed,
and many blessings I've received.

A family whom I love so dear,
who's seen me through each smile and tear.
God's there when I'm afraid or weak,
it's nice He listens when I speak.

And though there's still unanswered prayers,
I do believe He always cares.
Though God's a spirit we can't see,
like love, He's there for you and me.
