This work has reached the exceptional level
Praising Jesus for His Forgiveness

Chains of Unforgiveness

Forgiveness is more than just a simple word
A difficult process when we have been so hurt

Apology that's humble; when they ask us to forgive
And when we accept, our lives are easier to live

But what about those who don't apologize?
Those too we should forgive, and try to harmonize

But some of those offenses seem unforgivable
When they show no regret; mental or visual

I've tried to walk your path and for you have been a witness
But if I don't forgive, then I won't have forgiveness

I know it is a gift, more for me than just for them
Unlocks the chains of bondage of emotional resent

Free of bitterness that can eat at your soul
Thoughts of negativity,  replaced and makes you whole

So Lord I ask forgiveness, while I try to be forgiving
When I have that peace, I know that life will be worth living

I know that prayer is helpful, but I too must do my part
I'm in so much pain Lord; please open up my heart

My joy, peace and happiness, haven't been the same
I will not bear the burden while satan stakes his claim

I would rather be a victor,  than a victim any day
But for this to happen,  I know that I must pray

I come to you in weakness Lord, I'm trembling with fear
I'm trying to forgive; so that my conscience will be clear

Please give me strength; remove this thorn from my side
"Child, forgiveness is a gift for all; that's why your Savior died"

Praising my Lord and Savior, Jesus
for His Gift of Forgiveness
While asking for His help to also be forgiving, Jesus is my rock, my best friend and my brother. So naturally I would think to pay tribute to Him as I struggle with a problem and ask for His help to solve it, as only He can do!
