The Seven Seas

The sea was talking today.

Dancing the shoreline with an enthusiastic air.

I stood listening as she approached with wakes of chatter,

sometimes causing me to step back from her approaching excitement.

Have you ever noticed how the sea is in such harmony.

A body full of life yet behaving so singularly.

If there is an uprise, then all uprise.

If there is peace then tranquility becomes the mariner’s song.

We should listen to her more closely.

Wisdom is spoken in volumes.

We are being shown how to dance as one,

even though she embraces many.

The seas number in seven,

let us travel the sisters’ shores and be open to their wisdom and beauty.
