Like A Thief In The Night

She stole it and refused to return it. Childish behavior really.
I should never have been so cavalier with something so vulnerable, but I left it open and she took it.
I requested she return it immediately and undamaged, but she refused. Instead, she giggled like a pirate finding a treasure chest. I hope she doesn't bury it.
Odd she would even want it. It’s worn and been through the wringer. My heart, now hers.
