Today, September 15th is a very special day 

It is National Thank you Day, so I'd like to convey

I have so many friends to thank, but I don't think I'll name

So each line's a new person and I love a guessing game


They're beautifully written, and his poems are about God

His sense of humor's dry and his comments are fun and odd

A woman who portrays her life much like a butterfly

Her pen name shows her confidence; she's sweet as apple pie


Some new ladies this year, they're part of us; so well they mix

A special bro who’s generous at giving me a six
 
She always says "Keep writing" in her last and final line

And this wonderful author has the same birthday as mine


She has a pome in her name, and she always is such fun

This friend played a big part of helping us in 911

He's younger, kind and talented, and I'm happy he's here

A poet friend from Canada, and he's so very dear


She calls me one but she is a sweet angel in reviews

Already he's become a friend, and he is recent news

He's been most everywhere, and you can find that in his blog

And this guy's always welcome with his humor and his frog


This pharmacist is very kind and she writes mostly prose

And the Australian funny girl sure keeps me on my toes

This lovely woman's classy and her name's like a sweet child

And he is very kind and his demeanor's very mild


This friend will take us to his home and make us a great dish

And this guy from Alaska wants to show you where to fish

She is the blind Detective, but for real she cannot see

She'll ask for prayers for those in need, for all at FanStory 


She’s sweet and loved by everyone; she wears a hooded cape

He is so very helpful but he looks like a big ape

And she is always thorough as she first points out your art

She may be a late bloomer but she's so dear to my heart


A famous person's in her post that she gives every week

An awesome poetess who dances with me cheek to cheek

She writes her limericks, but always first to read my post

 Of many friends, with the same name, sweet Carols are the most


He is my biggest cheerleader, and calls me baby sis

She's got me reading 'bout the gods and now I'd hate to miss

Her name sounds like the jolly elf from way up north somewhere

A gem found in the ocean, like her pen name she's so rare


We have our own beliefs, but we're great friends with much respect 

We talk about our grandchildren, on that we sure connect

She used to be from Spain and now she is American 

She is like a big sister, and I am such a big  fan


And maybe for your birthday, someone I have written for

She always says I love you, but that Jesus loves you more

Of course you are a friend, for that I am so very blessed

I'm thankful for each one of you, in fact you are the best
