Playing football in the house ~ JK

Sally's Accident

by Debi Pick Marquette

Our Sally had an accident

'Twas not at all what she had meant

It was a couple weeks ago

For prayers, we thought we’d let you know

She plowed into a kitchen chair

But did not realize it was there

When blind, barefoot and all alone

She knows to always have her phone

And then she never once thought twice

To help swelling she used some ice

Jack rushed home, got her in the car

So he could take her to ER

Now she will joke about the fall

She says if she'd had a football

She'd might have kicked a nice field goal

Hey, laughter is good for the soul

She still has pain and a big bruise

And for six weeks, a boot she'll use

She'll have to settle for the spa

'Cause there will be no cha-cha-cha

You know how much we love you, Sal

But I just want to warn you, gal

Don't give your foot another whack

You'll lose more footsie time with Jack
