She's from Wisconsin born and raised

Now Marilyn's in lovely Maine

Her marriage she has rightly praised

Has daughter sweet as sugar cane 



She has always loved blue and white 

Colors of her china pattern

For 25 years freelance write

Was extra money she would earn



In college studied piano

And music therapy and harp

She knew how to make music flow

As she played both in flat and sharp 



Professor said that she could be

A stand up comic as her work

Instead she used ability

And she became a postal clerk



She finds humor in horror flicks

Marilyn has a funny bone

We all love her fun limericks

I laugh out loud all on my own



She loves to walk out in the woods

And write an off wall greeting card

She dreams of her old neighborhoods

Or thrilling walk in a grave yard
