My morning sermon inspired this
Faith
by Debi Pick Marquette

It's easy to feel good about life when everything is going well. But when we have faith we have peace during those not so pleasant moments in our life. With lupus, pain, kidney disease and now ongoing blindness in one eye, it has been a challenge.
However, they do not define me or my happiness. There is only one thing I let define me. That is my faith and my love for my Savior, Jesus Christ.
Faith makes life doable and helps me to find joy, even in a painful, ho-hum, or cruel world. The faith that gives me joy, gives me something to smile and even laugh about.
It helps me with my relationships with family and friends.
It is my security blanket when life doesn't go as planned.
Faith means I have an eternal home in Heaven to look forward to after this life is done, instead of the alternative in hell.
Some say they don't believe in hell. But saying hell doesn't exist, doesn't make it so.
When I was a kid, we went to a church with a very strict religion, with a lot of do's and don'ts,; they were almost all donts. I decided to give up and chose an unholy life instead.
Now, with Jesus running the show, the do's and don'ts aren't as scary. They are easier to understand since I made Jesus the ruler of my heart and soul.
He reassures me and gives me peace when I take the time to be still.
Faith is believing in the One who is perfect and keeps His promises.
Faith isn't hard ~ but life without it is.
