Growing Up Too Fast

by Debi Pick Marquette

For my grandkids I pray

 Our time together sharing

I love them, come what may

One of the things we play

The grandma monster's scaring

For my grandkids I pray

And I will shop and pay

For new clothes they are wearing

I love them, come what may

For overnight or day

Our precious time is sparing

For my grandkids I pray

But children they won't stay

That heartache needs repairing

I love them, come what may

I will always portray

A grandma that keeps caring

For my grandkids I pray
