I really enjoyed how your poem captures the raw emotion of loss. The image of the lit candle by the window was a powerful way to show remembrance. I could really feel the depth of the mother's grief. And your choice of words made her pain come through so clearly. The line "just memories permanently" really hit me. Great work!

What a beautifully sad read, talking/writing of loss is hard and takes quite a bit of courage, though an outlet we all need, very well written, best wishes for your contest****kahpot
