Hello Terry. This story is listed under humor fiction but is it real or not? The line above says this is from a retirement village get-together is this a real conversation you had with a potential client? Molly says she is a personal assistant so what exactly does she assist with? I see hidden meanings in the true story.
Are you playing with the reader or is this factual and you want someone to assist you? Entertaining to a point but after that the fun is in Molly's description of a personal assistant.

Jesse, thanks for reading. I think fiction and humor need to have elements of truth that the reader can identify in order to work. I do live in a condo community for those over 55. I don't know anyone like Molly, but I wouldn't be surprised that there are women like Molly out there. This is a fabrication from my brain to the printed page about what a conversation with someone like Molly might sound like. Terry.

Thanks for the clarification, Terry.
Have a nice day.

Needs assessment, huh?
With just a little tweaking, this could have fared well in a dialogue-only contest.
You said 7 - 7 1/2, but the photo you selected in centimeters.... I think I would edit one or the other. (smiley face here)

Thanks, Wayne. I didn't say 7-7 1/2, what.

"I could always count on a number like seven, maybe even seven and a half."

What a clever post, I love the inferences and supposed intentions, the clever questions without addressing them directly, particularly the question about scholarships, that was clever, beautifully written 'Hank', blessings Roy

Roy, thanks for reading. Hank is younger, he lives down the hall. Terry.

This is a very interesting conversation in the retirement village, and I enjoyed very much listening to it. It flows very well when it is read aloud and it works well as a dialogue. I wish you the very best with your writing and also wish you a wonderful weekend.

Teri,
This is well written with detailed imagery descriptions and emotion. It's funny but I think some of it went over my 4'11'' head. The imaged used is compelling. Was this about weight loss? I feel stupid.
I enjoyed reading this dialogue and others will too. You truly bring readers into your stories.
Peace and blessings,
Alex :)

Alex, thank you for your review. I think it best—as the writer and all, if I don't answer your question. Terry

I would really to know more about this arrangement. What happens after the 'needs assessment'? I'm glad you posted this cute story. You had me smiling as I read. My aunt, after my uncle passed, went into an assisted living center. According to her it was scandalous. LOL It may have been more in her imagination than reality.
