What an excellent story and supporting picture presentation - Admittedly I don't know how to review stories - I will however risk it all and give this one a shot - forgive me in advance lol - my first impression is that the story tells a tale of opposites - country vs city folk who are awed by one another's view of life, from their individual perspective and believes in life- ironically coming together, because of a crummy broken down car - the story, fictional, explores the differences with humor throughout - making it enjoyable and interesting to read - with a seemingly endless number opportunities to expand on the events of each day - the reader, following, at a distance - can only anticipate what could possibly come next!! Nicely done Rachelle- Bless Alan

What do you MEAN you don't know how to review stories! You did that like a seasoned pro. You understood every last nuance and summed it all up to perfection. Thank you for the support and encouragement! (And have you also read Gretchen's side of this tale, because that makes it doubly fun. She's hilarious, and I guarantee you will enjoy her perspective immensely.) Thank you, Alan. xoxo

Oy! This is funny. Not exactly laugh out loud funny, but it's ironically humorous in the little details--Gretchen's speed running, your flight from the horses, even the notion of such action in Amish country. You create humor with your setting!!! I love it and can't wait for more.

In my defense, though, Debbie, it's easier to run in Englisher clothes than the Amish variety. hahaha.

Thank you for this delightful review! xoxo

Another super chapter, full of action, and my imagination is going into overdrive seeing you both run from the horses - and then your reaction to the snake! I am so enjoying this book! You are so different from each other, and the differences are what makes this such a super read. Well done.
Wendy

Thank you for this feedback very much! For all our differences, our sense of humor and our work ethic are identical, and I think that's what makes this so fun. We are so happy you're along for the ride with us!

Wow! This is action-packed and very visual. It's easy to picture in your mind the horses running and the panic of the long-suffering FS conventioneers. Glad no one was bitten by the snake. Great humor along with the fear generated by the snake and the runaway horses. Fun references to some FS names. This is really coming along briskly. judi

You're welcome. For me, the Amish element is part of the attraction. judi

I'm not sure I would cope with a horse and a rattle snake Rachelle, we only have spiders, ants and statues of elephants in my town, I never see a horse! Ha ha ha. Another fascinating adventure with the Hamish community and and glad to hear no one was harmed, although you and Gretchen are both good runners! Love Dolly x x x

Well, in a fictitious story I am, Dolly; that's pretty much it. These are dancer legs, NOT runner legs!! lol

Thank you for the fun review. xoxo

I was worried Ezra was bitten by the snake. I'm glad he wasn't but being kicked by a work horse can be equally as dangerous. Those guys are huge. Thank you for sharing. I enjoyed reading.

Yes, especially since the doctor's not around, no one can be hurt too bad just now, right??!!

Thanks for this terrific feedback. I always appreciate how warm and gracious reviews always are, Barbara. xoxo

Good afternoon, Rachelle!
Joe Pie-weed made it into your exceptionally well-crafted story!!! Smiles all around!
I love the energy, excitement, and pace of this chapter.
I absolutely adore horses - runaways et al, but snakes? Oh...dear.. lord!
I just may have to admit that I am not very fond of them...even though I know many do wonders in the natural world. I just sort of sidestep them should our paths cross. Will have to check out "timber rattlers!"
So very much enjoyed: drama and humor made for a wonderful read!

Thank you for sharing!
fondly,
diane

I thought it would be fun to give you a cameo appearance two consecutive weeks. Thanks for being such a good sport!

I don't really "mind" snakes, but I also don't love them. I find them really bizarre...yet fascinating. When I take Li'l Swish to the bark park, occasionally we'll see one, and Li'l Swish just gets THE most perplexed look as she follows them around.

Thanks for another validating review. It is such fun to have you along on this adventure!!

The best chapter to date. Invigorating. The flaring nostrils, ears flattened and plate-size hooves of... Belgian or Percheron horses and Timber rattlers in Pa. were new but true to me.

This is another fast and dangerous episode that keeps the ladies on their big-shoe covered toes. The idea of these huge horses not killing someone is both fortunate and serves as fodder for further reflections on lifestyles and what is included.
