Amen! Christ absolutely won the victory with the Cross. And we continue to pray for Portia, our friend and sister in Christ. Portia has given me much encouragement and comfort in times of trouble, and I have not forgotten her. I am praying for Portia and her family members (especially for her husband and son). May God meet her and her dear family members at their point of need, and come through for them miraculously, through the power of His Blood! In the Precious Name of Jesus, Amen!

Hi Mary Kay! Thanks so much for reviewing especially for praying!! I heard through snail mail and Portia said that her son, Rod is doing well after his surgery. Her husband is still waiting for his surgery but she didn't say much about how her own health is. Appreciate you! Hugs!

Wow! Snail mail! It still works. So happy to hear that Portia's son Rod is doing well, post-surgery. Will continue praying for Portia, her husband and Rod! Thank you also, much appreciation and hugs back!

This is a great peppered pickle poem and has a good message. There are many on this site who are suffering and we do need to pray for them. My eyesight is failing and it is hard for me. I keep praying that God will heal my eyes.

A pickled pepper call to prayer... now who can resist that?! I had no idea about Portia, and you are right, she has not had that smiling face around here at all lately. Thanx so much for the 'heads up', my lady... ;) Yvette

We all pray for our families and our friends, Helen. I pray for all of God's children. It looks like the time is near, but do not fear, for love is always with those that believe in God' love. I believe in a lot of things, but my belief in my God and his Son are stronger. Take care of yourself and pray for all of mankind. Thank you for sharing.

A very well-written peppered pickle for the multi-author book about praying for our friends that need some extra prayers dealing with sickness and death of loved ones dear to their hearts.

This is a poem that reminds us to keep praying even when we don't see the results of our prayer. We need to have faith that God hears they and works things according to his will. In the end, he had won the victory of life for all who believe.

Amen! That is the Truth that we can cling to even when everything looks so dismal. Thank you for understanding! Hugs!

"Dismay can threaten holy gain." I feel so cold while reading those words. It is so easy to be in dismay, we are just human...Your poem is insightful, but it must hold a grain of grace.

Thanks for pointing out that line. You're right that it could sound like it is threatening. I only meant that we have so much to gain in faith if we don't give up. But I'm not meaning that salvation would be lost. I'll think about re-wording. Thanks for your feedback, Amada! Blessings!

We must keep on praying sister Helen because prayer is the language of God. If we want to get closer to Him and impact this world with and through Him, we MUST pray. I really like this and the powerful message conveyed in it. Thanks for sharing this inspirational and well written work. Well done!

Amen! Thank you for saying that, Jeffrey! Loved that you said "prayer is the language of God." And ultimately, if we are so in tune with Him, our lives would be a prayer to Him. Appreciate you! Please pray for Portia when the Spirit brings her to mind.
    Blessings!
