The anticipation of a joyful moment is itself a great blessing. Fulfillment of hopes means all was in planned in recognition of the need to show loves for others.

A beautiful and sensual poem. There is a quietly romantic as a young woman wanting and desiring her lover.
Great presentation compliments your words.

This is a wonderfully written verse, Gypsy. The flow is there and carries your readers along with your lady as she yearns for affection and love. A sensuous and magical read.

I like your poem- good presentation- paints a loving picture of a young -untouched-woman yearning to hear from her dream person - nicely done- would suggest the use of the word 'curves' (female shape) - good job

Love "susurrous" ~~ it sounds like it would be a whisper! Embarrassed to say I have not a clue what "woman curbs" are...

Is it some urban dictionary saying for curves or am I WAY off???

(I tried to google it and came up with 50 photos of women sitting on street curbs!)

Sigh....

I'm sure you can tell me!

Great way to conjure up sensations of the skin and of the ear with your alliterative poem of longing for some beloved one. This should have been in the love poem contest.

Hi Gypsy,
there is so much imagery within these words, it more as if someone is speaking these words directly.

A truly beautiful presentation... to compose such richness within a limited format is impressive to say the very least.

These words linger, right down to the whisper in my ear... and BTW, thank you for my new word of the day-- Susurrous. I love those floating 'S' sounding words... there is something magic that adds length when spoken.

To choose a favorite passage would be to rewrite this beautifully visual Tanka.... every word in its intended place.

What a truly special form of connection... exchanging romantic notions where men and women would have a chance to see their intended partners passionate side poured out through written emotion... love it!

With our thoughts we create...
a shape of desire.

Kindest regards,
James.

Thank you very much for your exceptional review and six stars! you are very kind and I appreciate you.

BTW, susurrous is almost the same in Spanish ... susurros. I love it too... I can almost hear the tantalizing words in my ear.

Tanka is one of the oldest Japanese forms. I love it. tanka originated in the seventh century, and quickly became the preferred verse form not only in the Japanese Imperial Court, where nobles competed in tanka contests, but for women and men engaged in courtship.

    My pleasure Gypsy Queen.
I do connect with this form of poetry and fine the history of it fascinating. The Japanese have some very interesting forms of writing and poetry that when written with finesse really excites the inner poet in me.
    Love this quote!

Beautifully presented poem, per usual. I liked the text. You forced me to get a dictionary to look up the different ways "susurrous" may be used. Thanks for making me learn a new word. Your author's notes were interesting too. Well written and well-presented. I am a fan.
