This is a great first chapter, Gretchen, you pull us in with the first paragraph. I love the honesty she has about her mistakes, her spurned trust, I'm sure this is going to be a fun, sad, hilarious, bad book! I'm looking forward to going through the chapters. (Even though they aren't easy to find!! Lol) Can you give me the title of the next chapter? I'm off to bed now, but I'll get another chapter in tomorrow. I'm impressed with what I've read so far! :)) Sandra xx

The next chapters are Dumped and Fired pt. 1, then Dumped and Fired pt 2. I did try to give a title and have Miranda in parenthesis. So glad you enjoyed this. Gretchen

Whew! I'm glad this is fiction although this tale could apply to many teenagers. A lot of good tit- I mean 'tidbits here'. The fifth grade and big boobs, the comparison to a plastic bag, the unromantic proposal, and the bachelor party that foreshadowed the future.
Your flippant writing style and story line caught my attention

Thank you for the fun review. This character is definitely unapologetic when she speaks. Glad you enjoyed it.

You have me completely hooked and I can't wait to read more. I know this is going to be a fun ride. I am betting he does it again and many more times. I am pretty sure Farley is a relative of my first husband. For real, it's not fiction.

Your second paragraph is one for the books! If the first paragraph didn't hook the reader, the second one surely did:-) "Cute little buds that wink coyly at you from under a t-shirt" is a great line.

The plastic bag blowing around the parking lot - I wish I'd read that when my son was 22 and was a plastic bag in the "lost" sort of way. I think I would have used it!

Your story is so well written - humorous and engaging and I can't wait to find out what happens next. What a treat to log onto this site and find this gem this morning.

Great read!

I was hooked in by the first sentence. I am still waiting for the reveal on that, but I am certainly enjoying the ride along the way. Never a boring moment in this irreverent piece, with perfect pacing, and excellent expression. Kate xx

This is a great start on your multi-chapter story, GW.
You did a great job introducing the main character. I
look forward to reading more of her poignant tale. Your
words are descriptive and well-chosen. I believe some
will identify with this, though it's fiction.
Thanks for sharing, Jan

This was a great story. How true in a lot of cases. I look forward to where this is headed. Always glad to have an extra fiction writer to read. No spags which is great.
