How exciting, it's funny, but sometimes our discomfort bids warning of some other thing bothering us. So now Miranda has been feeling uncomfortable about something, even to the degree of warning Waylon, but now it seems there's something more pressing, also with a narcissist on her case in Missy Toblerone, they are quite often serial killers or dictators. Beautifully written Gretchen, blessings Roy

Narcissists are scary. No real conscience. I have been working with one for almost 10 years. I was on eggshells with her until I started studying her. Now she has no power over me but it's scary dealing with someone like that when you don't know what to expect. Thank you so much for this fantastic review. Gretchen

Oh, No! Okay, I'm guessing it's not the perv because one would have to assume he doesn't have a car. On the other hand, Missy has the personality that she would have to approach rather than hide behind the dumpster. Hmm? Well, I'm just going to have to wait. Great chapter, Gretchen. Best, JohnC

This is not good. I hope Miranda isn't hurt. I'm guessing they're being robbed. I can't wait for more.

tless and The Bold and the Beautiful?" He says with a flatness to his voice. (lower case 'h' on 'he')

"You are tougher than this. (In this paragraph there are a few 'you are' I feel with Miranda talking to herself, she's use 'you're)

Just like life. When you start thinking everything is okay, that's when it all goes to heck, or that other place. But I've already come to believe that Miranda can take care of herself just fine. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

No real worries for Miranda here either. But you just never know. Great review. I appreciate your time and comments. Gretchen

Peanut butter and Ramen, two things teens will feast on.

Miranda seems like she is getting a tad paranoid over events that are occurring.

She better get out of Dodge, pronto! before whoever is at the back door gets in the store.

Ending lends to curiosity about what will happen next.

Oh no! A spooky cliffhanger ending! You gave us plenty to worry about for poor Miranda despite her very good pep talk to herself. I hope she has some self-defense ready or can speed dial Officer Mitch!

Thank you. My money would be on Miranda when it comes to a battle of sarcasm but who knows who this is. I'm so glad you're sticking with me on this. Gretchen

This work has reached the exceptional level

Oh Boy, I hope she dials 911 and gets in her car and locks the doors till the cops get there. LOL I take it she is afraid of the creep. He was upset about the scissor incident. I don't thank she is afraid of Missy. If she killed Justin I suppose she could be upset because Miranda suspects her of it. Oh well. Good Job, Gretchen. Nancy:)

Well, I see I didn't miss too much with not reading the last installment. (I'm sorry, but I had to make some executive decisions on what I could read since I'm low on FS money and had to stick with promoted stuff or not post my own material. As good as a writing is, I can't afford to read it for 2 cents. Nothing personal.)

This was a tense chapter with Miranda being worried about something and rattled about the car by the dumpster, then calling and telling Waylon to lock up and not open the door for anyone. (Maybe I did miss something from last time!)

You got my interest, girl!

Jay

I was ready to slit my wrists but then I saw you meant nothing personal. So we are all good. I do the exact same thing some times. I never have enough fanstory money to post very high anyhow. Just read and comment when you can. Thanks so much .
BTW, last chapter synopsis. Miranda holds a pair of scissors to town perverts crotch after catching him pleasuring himself in back by coolers. He runs out and cop shows up later to tell her pervert filed complaint against her. Then Missy shows back up and is insistent that she and Miranda pick up where they left off in high school. Miranda gets weird vibes from Missy. Now you are up to speed. Gretchen

Gotcha! Thanks, Gretchen, for understanding. At my age, I have to do things differently to conserve energy. Some people would read what I said to you and think, "You should be paying me to read my genius!" Some never learn.

Oh, your story this time gave me the chills! Yes she's a strong woman, but things are weird in her world right now. But why didn't she ensure the back door was locked as well? The dialogue is real, authentic and suits each of the characters. Well done, as always.

She had mentioned being paranoid to the point where she checked to make sure the back door was locked three or four times. Thank you so much for this awesome review. Gretchen

Noooooo! You left me hanging. It's got to be whoever was in that car behind the dumpster. I'd be staying inside and calling the police. Hurry with the next installment!

You might just be onto something. Or maybe she's overthinking. Anyhow, thank you for this great review. Until next time. Gretchen
