Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

Yes, this is a delicious tanka and to form. Chocolate covered strawberries are a perfect reminder for this moon in June and the love inspired.

Very well done, Gypsy. :))

This tanka, Strawberry Moon, looks good and brings in the readers understanding of skinny dipping, embracing while quivering and naked, and the delicious blend of chocolate and strawberries.

I like yourTanka poem. Excellent picture presentation!! Interesting concept - reminds of strawberry's dipped in chocolate - paints a picture of desire - bathing breath?? Suggest "bated" fits the narrative better? I like the chocolate idea - good job

I had never heard of tanka poetry before reading your poem. It inspires to try it out for myself, someday. As for your poem, the photo is breath-taking, and the words are descriptive while the flow lead up to an unexpected delightful ending. I enjoyed this.

This is a very interesting and sensuous Tanka. I like the imagery but the second line could do with an 'a' at the beginning and then you could change delicious to something with fewer syllables like luscious perhaps.

Haiku, Tanka, and most Japanese poetry are written as succinctly as possible and must be 17 syllables or less. Classic haiku is supposed to be written in one breath. So we get rid of all the words we don't need but keep what must.

Thank you very much for your helpful and kind review. Have a wonderful weekend.

Another fine peom, Gypsy----and one about a culinary sexual confection that everybody likes, with the possible exception of Larry Limprod of Eunical Way!

What an excellent ekphrastic poem Gypsy, some marvellous artwork to work on, of I don't know whether it was the artwork or not, but it sure makes for a marvellous tanka, well done. Blessings Roy

The poem came to me before the picture. Most of the time I google pictures once I know what my poem is about. I like ekphrastic poems too. Thank you very much, Roy. I appreciate all your reviews.

Great imagery in this one. I love the phrase chocolate-covered love. Thank you for sharing this lovely Tanka poem. Good luck with your collection of tankas and, yes, I will hand over the chocolate.

This is a romantic and frivolous tanka. Writing in the last line about your undying love for chocolate. This is well done and you know how to do it since you teach a class in Japanese poetry. Thanks for sharing this beautiful poem.

I smiled at the idea of chocolate-covered love. I am pretty sure nobody can ever go wrong with chocolate. I know I've said it before and I'm pretty sure you are tired of hearing it, but I enjoyed the entire package.
