Oh, but that Missy is so fun to hate!! And so EASY to hate, also!! Still, you have NOT made her a non-dimensional cartoon character; she's complicated and dangerous and fascinating...and so very hate-able!!

These are my two favorite lines from this fabulous chapter:
1.) "Apparently, rich people aren't at risk of damaging furniture." That's hilarious. I had that same thought a couple Christmas Eve's ago at my husband's (filthy rich) cousin's house where EV. RY. THING. was white. (And now ask me if I felt horrible when my husband's sister's adult daughter spilled her (RED!!!!) wine on the carpet.)

2.) "Missy leans back making sure he notices her tourist attractions." HAHAHAHA. Where in the hell do you come UP with this stuff?!! (Are you hilarious in Real Life?) Miranda is like the best fly on the wall ever.

Once again, full of interest and intrigue and steady-as-she-goes plot progress. The great work continues, Miss Talent!!

Well, Miranda has Missy figured out and always did, Gretchen.
She's a man killer in more ways than one. You did a great job
with the descriptions of the bar, the meeting up with Missy, and her
little tryst. I'm with Miranda--run and never look back until she
finds proof of the murder she believes Missy committed.
Thanks for sharing, Jan

Wow! Whited-out eyes, and no underwear in public. Makes me wonder if you actually knew people like Missy in real life? Missy screwing the waiter in the Mens! Maybe she...and he; are regulars, there? (Including in the loo!)This was quite a chapter.

As the old saying goes, "Leopard don't change their spots." I'm not sure anything has ever been truer. They can upgrade the clothes and assets, but they'll never be anything but . . . well, you know. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Oh my goodness! It was a bizarre thing for Missy to white out Miranda's eyes in the picture. She doesn't feel any remorse for leaving her sitting there waiting nor for terrible comments. It's good that Miranda fled!
Minor nits:
"Well, we're adults now" I say. (comma after 'now')
What are friends for (question mark)
St. Michele chardonnay. (Ste. Michelle Chardonnay

I'm surprised Missy worked that fast. I can't believe some women. I know they're out there, but still. Women like that give all women a bad name. You did a great job writing this. Your descriptions are excellent.
Thank you for sharing

I'd love to give every one of these a six! I know you're probably getting sick of me babbling about how much I enjoy this saga, but I'm reassured I'm not the only one! Best, JohnC

I don't think I'll ever get sick of that, John. Lol. I do value your opinion. I am really happy with the feedback I'm getting on this. I like Miranda for her ability to cut to the chase. No long-winded exposes, just blunt observations. She's fun to write. Again, thank you very much for your support. Gretchen

How amazing Missy seems to be short on morals and long on opportunism, people like Missy don't live by any particular rules that don't suit them, she's best without her, but will Missy lie down, that is the question. Beautifully written, blessings Roy

I think for the first time, Miranda felt out of place. Very self conscious. It's not like her but it's a very common human quality. I don't believe anyone is confident 100 percent of the time. Thank you for your great review. Gretchen

What a horrible woman Missy is. Not only a witch with her back-handed slap in the face, but also a hussy. I love your descriptions of her. I know a woman like that, and like Miranda, I've always avoided her at any cost.

I think we all know a Missy. Hopefully, fictitious Missy is the only one suspected of a crime. Lol. Thank you for your delightful review. Gretchen

I love quirky and this definitely was. I really enjoyed the characters. The flow was good, what a pair they are together. Poor Miranda, Missy would drive anyone crazy. Looking forward to reading more!
