Seems "Missy" is onto the "suspicious" Miranda. That could lead to complications.

"jack ass" should be jackass.

"it's cover" should its cover.

Miranda best get busy and resolve this murder before Missy accomplishes framing her and her "temper" everybody knows she possesses.

Yes, it's true that we never completely know anyone. Even those of us who like to think we are good people have our quirks. All but me of course. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Well done. Another great chapter. Getting more and more exciting except for Missy, hehe. But then you tell her story well, too. Couldn't find any spags. Keep it coming!

Hey, I meant to say the bloke that Waylon has become fond of as you say a surrogate Dad...I wonder being younger than the lady in your story...is he looking for a Mum? Hehe!

Grrrr. And there that horrible Missy goes again! That dastardly bitch! I can't wait until Miranda gets to the bottom of everything (like, for example, that POND?...) and exposes EVERYTHING! I just KNOW she can do this!!

For this chapter, my favorite part was, "It sounds forced. Or maybe I just want to believe it's put on." That's brilliant writing. You plant the seed of accusation in our mind, but then you make Miranda so SMART that she doesn't jump to conclusions or become over-confident. Masterful, Gretchen.

This book is delightful. I continue to absolutely LOVE it. (Hopefully, you are not getting sick of me saying that...because, you know, it IS my birthright as a Jewish Mommie to repeat myself as many times as I possibly can in one lifetime... So, I'm sorry, but deal with it.)

I will never get sick of it. Lol. I only become a Jewish mom when I'm worried about people. Thank you again for the awesome review and telling me what resonates with you. I hope you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Gretchen

I think Miranda should have Sheriff Mitch join them all at the pond. It's like every detective show on TV, I feel like saying, "Don't do that - just call the police otherwise you're going to be a suspect!" Lol. Glad she told off Missy but it's not looking good for Miranda.

A normal person would call the sheriff but Miranda and her crew are anything but normal. Lol. Thank you for the awesome review. Gretchen

It would be hard with someone as narcissistic and obsessive as Missy Toblerone on your case, I think, plot wise, that Miranda has to use some of that cleverness and street smarts, to think the worst of Missy. Beautifully written Gretchen, blessings Roy

Missy needs to leave Miranda alone. I have a feeling Missy is the one setting Miranda up. I don't know who else would. Unless there's somebody I'm not thinking about. I can't wait to read more. Good write.

I think Missy is setting her up as well. But I can't be sure yet. Thank you for this great review. Gretchen

Missy is most likely going to give the reporter bad comments about Miranda. The plot thickens as Missy is going to ruin Miranda, I'm afraid. Good build-up.

Thank you so much. One good thing about reporters is they investigate every one. Lol. Thank you for this great review. Gretchen

She has a big problem alright, but I think that she can handle it. She is no dummy and she has no problem speaking her mind.
I do believe Missy is in more trouble than she knows and Missy had better not underrate Marinda. Well done. Nancy

I always look forward to these reads, and you never disappoint, Gretchen! Missy is such an exasperating character, and you have pegged her perfectly and consistently. She resonates, I believe, because we have all known a Missy at some point in our lives(not to her extreme), but they've been there. Loved it! Best, JohnC

Yes. Missy is very fictional, but you're right. We all have one or two in our lives. Thank you so much for this nice review. Gretchen
