Thank goodness, this ended well. I thought she'd really messed up at first. Mitch is interested in her after all. But he's right about the bodies in the water. It would be better to let him handle it.

Oooh! Hubba, Hubba! Look at that Miranda workin' her magic there! (I like that he was wearing fresh-smelling aftershave. That was a neat touch.)

I also loved 'Summer is dancing slowly offstage, making way for autumn." That's a very cool personification.

Also, I loved that Miranda defended Aaron when Mitch called him an idiot. (THAT's why he can't walk away from her. She's so cool that although she needed his help, she still wouldn't let him get away with bad-mouthing her friend. She's loyal, and that's rare.)

Finally, I totally loved "Nothing says white trash love quite like a gift from the convenience store." Hahaha! Miranda's great; she never takes herself seriously.

Terrific chapter. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

No. That did not jump out at me whatsoever. You know I would have said so if it had. xo

Awwww, How sweet. It looks as though it is bound to happen. I do believe they are in tune with each other. Now she has Mitch involved it will happen, safely and legally. Miranda has a good head on her shoulders. Mitch will see that. It is obvious she is looking out for the boys to keep them out of trouble. The flowers speak of Mitches interest in Miranda. She feels wobbly when he wants to kiss her. Love it! Nancy:)

I am guessing Mitch is attracted to women who puzzle him and Miranda fits that bill. YEAH!!!!!!!! I'm rooting for them. Please keep these posts coming.

You can't be trusted to pick out men. (I have felt this way before, myself.)

I think we can all relate to picking out questionable men. Seems like a rite of passage for some women. Thank you so much for this nice review. Gretchen

Another sucker has just been conned with a kiss, but now we'll just have to wait and see if there's one or two, the him, or him and her. LOL. Thanks for sharing another fine chapter. :-)

Ahh, I love how you ease into situations so naturally and effortlessly. The kiss was done so Brilliantly. I'm curious to see if Mitch gives in and allows Aaron to retrieve the bodies. Great chapter, Gretchen. Best, JohnC

Miranda may be putting Mitch into an awkward position, and perhaps Aaron as well, as now he can't say he didn't know it was illegal. Looking forward to seeing how this all works out especially now with the romance budding.

Once again, I find your "part of a larger body of work" highly entertaining, LOL. I wonder, though, if Miranda could have found the legal answer to her question which she asked Mitch from another source and discussed it privately with Aaron rather than confront him with it directly, losing Aaron's respect and possibly Waylon's. Then again, I'm usually wrong about these things. We'll wait to see how it plays out.

On the other front, she did get a kiss. There's gonna be a budding romance. That's something!

Thank you, Jay, for looking out for Aaron. Lol. I think she might be able to persuade Mitch to ease up. But in the long run I think she's doing Aaron a favor when it come to retrieving a decayed body out of a submerged car. Gross. More to come. I promise. Gretchen

Wow! This is really something. Mitch does have a point about retrieving the bodies that have been submerged for so long. I am looking forward to where this is heading. No spags.

Well, men have done a lot more and a lot dumber stuff for the woman they want to... well, the woman they like. I guess that explains why Miranda wasn't upfront with the reason she asked Mitch over. Can't blame her for using what she has to get what she wants.

Good chapter.

I think she's of the school of thought "work smarter, not harder. " lol. Thank you for this nice review. Gretchen
