This is so perfect. They revert to their unresolved issues from 7th grade and revisit the behavior and catty comments that have imprinted on their relationship! Even when there's a gun and impending death in the offing. My husband would Sooo love this bc he always insists to me, "You are never 'even,' are you, Sweetie? When another woman make you mad, you are mad at her for life, aren't you?" "Yes, I am!" I confirm. I will have him read this so he understands it is not unusual female behavior. I appreciate the validation there, Gretchen!

This denouement is really creating beautifully. It's exciting as hell! Great work. Xo

Good point. You're exactly right. I remember a poem our 11th grade History teacher read us entitled "The Female of the Species Is More Deadly Than the Male." It's so true!

Once again, I somehow got behind by one chapter. I had to do a little backtracking. So Missy has either a six or a seven shooter. And now she's down to either one or two remaining bullets. Hopefully, what she heard earlier was the sheriff ... we'll see.

Miranda has done a lot of quick thinking in this dangerous
predicament she is in, Gretchen. You did a great job with the
intensity and riveting action of this chapter. You took readers
right along with Miranda as she tries to out do Missy. Readers
also were given some great information on Missy;'s past, but how
much can we really believe her sob story? She is and was a psycho
from the beginning. The way Miranda escaped and started her
way to freedom was well done. I liked her thoughts about life and
everything we learned. The ending was great too as Miranda isn't
a pushover. You've set up an exciting next chapter.

It's getting real exciting, and Miranda's good under pressure, if that were not true, she wouldn't be able to move on from a crisis. But Missy on the other hand is a nutcase, as all narcissists are, she can't see her own weaknesses one inch in front of her eyes. Beautifully written Gretchen, blessings Roy
