HAHAHA! And more cat fighting as death and configuration loom. (And mud. I LOVED the 'I threw mud. I know she hates getting dirty" line! HAHAHA! And it FITS, too, because, even in that dire situation, Missy still would NOT want to be dirty! Kill my former best friend: yeah, whatever. Get my OUTFIT DIRTY? Oh, I think NOT!!!

Anyway, TREMENDOUS job here with the denouement! I can't wait to see if now Miranda gets the reward, marries Mitch, gets to keep Waylon and lives happily ever after. (Can you tell I used to be a nursery school teacher?)

Love the nursery school teacher angle. I think things will end up working out but who knows. Lol. Thanks for your continued support. Thank you for the awesome review and rating. Gretchen

Where are those damn sixes when I need them most. LOL. It's always great when the bad guys, or girls, get what they have coming to them. And especially, those like Missy. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you. I'll take the mere mention of a six. Thank you for sticking with me. Gretchen

Once again, you don't disappoint. In all its violence and blood and guts, this is such a good read. I can't wait to see where this goes. How's Waylon doing we haven't heard about him for a while?

We will catch up with Waylon and Aaron in the next chapter or two. Hope the fight scene wasn't too graphic for you. Tried to focus on the dialogue instead of the actual physical part. Thanks for this nice review. Gretchen

Miranda's 'flight or fight' reflex kicked in. She knew there was
place to run. With adrenaline pumping, she gave it her all in a
life and death situation. Your chapter was exciting and filled
with great action, Gretchen. Miranda is no quitter and knew she
had to fight Missy. That Missy is, as I figured, a psycho. I'm thrilled
Mitch arrived in time to save Miranda. Hopefully, Tyler will be
exonerated.
Thanks for sharing, Jan

Pretty sure Missy lied to Tyler, and thankfully he caught on to those lies, albeit, a tad late in the game. Thank you for this awesome review. Gretchen

I'm glad I read this, it was the image I had in my head before Missy and Miranda had their physical confrontation, Missy thinking they were besties, but I think you're right narcissistic don't have normal relationships, they have a sense of godlikeness about them, beautifully written my friend, blessings Roy

Great descriptions and great action. I can't wait for the next post. I so want Mitch and Miranda to get together. I really do feel you have at least one sequel to this. Miranda is a great character and can do all sorts of things to impower women.

Well, it's a relief that Missy is caught. Miranda was lucky to have the strength to fight her and hold her until help came. It will be interesting to watch the relationship grow between Mitch and Miranda.

Thank you. Part of me thinks they'd be a great couple but she has a tendency to fly by the seat of her pants. Lol. Thank you for this great review. Gretchen

Omg! What on God's green earth just happened here? I'm not going to make any guesses. Lordy, this is well-written and the most exciting chapter yet! When I love a story; I don't usually six until the end of the saga, but this chapter was well worth the extra star, Gretchen. I Loved the drama, and the fight scene was spot on!

Lol. Thank you. I just had a review tell me the fight scene was lacking. Having never been a fighter, it was all guess work. But hopefully, he can give me some suggestions. I truly thank you for this nice review. Miranda has been fun to write, that's for sure. Thank you for this. Gretchen

I mean no disrespect, but your fight scene is between two women. I would guess they would fight exactly as you laid it out. In my opinion(From one writer to another), I wouldn't change a thing. Now, if it were two men fighting, I may have some suggestions. I loved it!!

Thank you. I know women can tear each other down. Lol. Men talk less and act it out more. But that would be funny to read a scene where men fought but used a woman to woman dialogue. Thanks for the reassurance. Gretchen

Oh, Poor Miranda. Mitch finally did show up! She certainly had to fight for her life. Missy finally broke and showed her true colors. I'm pretty sure she and Ed somehow stuffed Jason's body in the washer. I suspected that was what they would find in it. There was no way she could get the body and washing machine into Hayne's Pond. She did kill him in a way. She didn't make any effort to save him from the convulsions' he was having. Miranda is finally safe. Good Job, Gretchen.

Thank you, Nancy. I think it is far worse, what she did. Treating his dying like a show and lunch entertainment. I believe that was her first real taste of power. And she liked it. Miranda is safe now. Yay. Gretchen

I'll be honest. I think your fight scene and action sequence needs some work. There are gaps or skips in the action, and far too much, unbelievable dialogue under the circumstances.

Ex:

She fires again. If her gun isn't empty, there can only be one bullet left. And, I'm not gonna wait for her to reload.

I run at her. She never sees it coming.

- Wait. Aren't you missing a few things and steps?

Thanks for your honesty. It's my first fight scene so I'm winging it. I would welcome some pointers if you have the time. I've had heated, very heated, verbal fights with women. That's how they turned out. Hurtful words. Miranda knows that Missy is all about image. Her ego is through the roof. Hearing things like you're teeth look like chicklets would infuriate her. But please, if you have the time, tell me more about smoothing out the fight sequence. Gretchen
