Thanks once again, Dawn. No prize for this one. A second and a third for the previous two.

There is a lot of talent to be found on FS I guess -- always a pleasure! sorry this wasn't a winner, but congrats on the others. :)

Paul, if this doesn't win the contest, then there needs to be a recount! It is clever, fun, and all the ingredients for great flash story. And a nice funny twist at the end. Terry.

Thanks, Roy. Although a comedian, Robin Williams, has played a number of serious roles. I was really surprised when he took his own life, but you never know what's going on behind the scene.

Clever satire. I bet this tickled lots of members. Excellent dribble flash style with good word economy, well paced and a fine closing twist pun effect. I don't know if it was intentional, but the alliteration of F in these lines is awesome:

He finished his final piece of verse, entered it in a FanStory contest, and then died. Five days later his poem won first prize.

Good luck! You might ironically win this one.

Warmly,
rd

There's nothing quite like humor as you're going out of this world. You've captured it so well in this dribble flash, Paul. Thank you for sharing, and I wish you all the best in the contest.

Sending along my very best to you all as well,
Sally :))

Hah, Paul!
Smiles all around!
And I needed more than a few today!
Quirky yet humorous!
Much enjoyed.
And I really chuckled when I read that Tom sent the earnings to the "Dead Poets' Society!"

Best Wishes!

I got a big laugh out of the last line. I don't know how writers come up with these great dribbles. This is a great contender. Best of luck in the contest.

Hahaha, Paul... that is too, too funny. I loved your little dribble and think you are very clever to incorporate Tom, FanStory and a dead poet into this funny piece. Great job and good luck.
