Oh, Marival, what a beautiful tanka poem about such a deep love which has been taken away from him. I wish I had a six as it so much deserves. Un abrazo, Ulla xx

Rhapsody in Blue is one of my favorite pieces of music so you had my attention with the title.I have the sheet music and one of these days I may even tackle it.
Your poem, however, takes the music in a new direction for me. Rage and grief are strong emotions. But it is a strong piece of music and I can see the relationship you make with the emotions and the music.
Thank you for sharing

OUCH!!!! The words you chose for this poem evoke a lot of emotion. The color scheme fits perfectly with the emotion. Oh I so wish I had a six left. This poem surely deserves it.

This was a great tanka, Gypsy. The dual pictures explained the use of the lady's blue face and the rose in the water. Your words showed the anger in your voice. Blessed Be n Hugs!!!

Your words, like the musical notes, thrust themselves into the space occupied by your reader, releasing emotions too long held within. That is how this tanka feels and it succeeds. Grief often contains a feeling of rage that must surface in order to heal. Well done!

I like your tanka poem - EXCELLENT PICTURE PRESENTATION - WOW! - really nice - poem has a good syllable count and flow - Rhapsody in Blue - nice old song - remember it well - nice - a couple of suggestion -
the word 'thrust' describing - perhaps 'float'? (music floating through the air ) 'AND' rage - perhaps 'as' rage? Good Job - like the moving water!! AP

Blue surrounds this finely presented tanka with the ambience of a broken heart. Each word adds to the theme yet gently until just the last line.

A fine tanka that I thoroughly enjoyed.

I love the various tones of blue on this one that match the spooky woman in the picture. Nicely done.

Them as my Grandmother use to always say. "The only way to get over one man is under another!"

Oh my.

Hi Gypsy Queen,
words evoking the mood that your words portray... and of course, the title and driving force 'Rhapsody in blue' playing in my mind as I read your beautifully, yet sorrowful tanka poem.

I fell deeply into the ambiguity of the physical words... room and home and the added strength of the thrust to the musical notes suggesting the thoughts and feeling have no choice but to come and fill one with the rage and grief that plagues the mind in the down times of solitude.

I love the colour scheme and presentation of this exceptional piece of art... your words linger longer with music playing in one's mind. The music displaying the moody journey of up's, downs and possibility.
Ahhh Gershin... you've gotta love him!

With our thoughts we create...
reflective emotions.

Kindest regards,
James.
