It's one degree here today...Not my kind of weather but then Old Man Winter didn't ask my opinion. I hope to fly the coop soon for a few weeks in the sun again. Merry Christmas to you!

I wish I had a six left for your beautiful Christmas story, Carol, and for the tears it gave me as I was imagining the scenes, like one of the many, many Chrustmas movies I have watched. You showed beautifully the spirit of this season.
cheers,
valda

I will have to bookcase this one. This is a lovely story, especially for kids. Getting children to understand the deeper things about life, including the meaning of Christmas, can be a challenge. They are often so heavily governed by their egos at those early ages. Certainly, it's a story I would share with my young ones.

That is the nicest, sweetest Christmas story I've read apart from the nativity story. Yours brought tears to my eyes and a warmth to my heart. If only everyone could understand this is what Christmas means to Jesus, sharing love. Your story is a delight, and one that should be shared everywhere. Love it, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Thanks so much, Sandra. I really enjoyed writing this one too. It warmed my heart and hopefully touched others.

I messaged Tom about the other story, but not heard anything yet. It has the first chapter which was written for a contest listed seperately from the second chapter which is under the book. Hopefully he can straightened it out for me.

Thanks for the six stars and for enjoying the story.

I am enjoying these short stories, taking a quick break from the ghosts and crime. But not for long, because I do miss Eleanor. LOL Glad you enjoyed this one, Beth. Thanks!

This was a very sweet story, Carol, Miss Holland does sound like a sweet teacher. We always remember the teachers who had an impact on us when we were young. An excellent piece full of Christmas cheer, I enjoyed reading it.

Yes, the good ones and the bad ones. Teachers make a lasting impression on our young minds and hopefully it's for the best. I am glad you enjoyed the story. Thanks so much.

I have tears. This is very good. I am tired out from writing Aunt Margaret#5. It was hard to do, And Marilyn told me why. I knew Margaret's Character, I did not yet know Beverly's. Duh! Hopefully I will find hers soon. This place is so great! Happy Holidays. Love to you and yours. Karen

As writers we often slip inside our characters and get very close to who or what they are... it takes a toll on ourselves. You always dig deep and it comes about well.

Ahhh. This is the most wonderful story to read after tagging along as my daughter in law braved the mall battlefield, where all was greedy and fright instead of merry and bright...

I hope everyone who reads this is inspired to bless one family with Christmas cheer...

A plate of cookies!
A book for the children!

A warm smile and heartfelt greeting...

It's priceless, really, and means so very much!

Love this Mrs, Claus!

(wink)

Hello, sweet girl.... A guess I just felt like I needed to spread a little love and cheer around and I am thrilled that I got to wrap some around you. My shopping has mostly been done at the computer this year... except for an exceptional day with Carissa. Thanks for always being so supportive.
    Love ya, Carol

This is a wonderful story about the true meaning of Christmas. How you can write so much, when you have been traveling and visiting, I can't figure out. And everything you write deserves six stars.
