That was an ominous ending, Rhonda! It looks like Diantha has found her niche in this wonderful world. And Mary is just the right person to help her in more ways than Diantha realises. This was a lovely chapter, my friend. I'm so enjoying it!! Till the next time, love and hugs, Sandra xxx

Thank you so much for the 6 stars and for your supportive comments. Yes, Diantha is settling in and finding her happy spot. Life goes on, but so does the enemy. Has to, or where's the fun, right? Lol.
Love and hugs.

Hello Rhonda,
This is another excellent chapter revealing much about how Diantha
came to be an important member of Concorde Valley. She seems like
a kindred soul and Mary will certainly "heal" a heart sick heart.
The dialogue is well done, almost like you were listening in
to the conversation. They certainly have big families too.
Well done.
Best wishes.

Hi Robert,
Thank you so very much for the lovely and sparkling 6 star review!! You got what I was aiming at and that was the casual talking style to get a little character development and view of the people in Concorde Valley, something I didn't focus enough on in the first book.
Take care,
Rhonda

Ooooh, Rhonda, NOT FAIR!!! How could you leave me hanging like this when it was getting better and better by the minute? I am so obsessed with this book and I can hardly wait for the next chapter. I wish Tom had a ten star we could use once a week cause you would have it right now, lady.
This is wonderful how she joined in with Mary and the girls right after her bath and then while waiting to meet the babies, she gets a unique job offer. But Mary has something up her sleeve and now it is driving me crazy. LOL. Gosh, I love this story. So while I wait for next week, my imagination will run wild, but I will have to chime in earlier next week.
Thanks so so much for this delightful tale. As they say, never a dull moment!!
See you next week, Hon!! And just so you know, you have raised the bar so incredibly high right now! BRAVO!!
Love, Debi

Dear Rhonda, thank you for sharing this entertaining chapter, full of vivid, descriptive detail about Mary and the children. I like the idea of Mary being a midwife and Diantha now combining her previously underrated skills to help out in Concorde Valley. She may still be very hesitant (understandably) of commitment but Mary's approach is irresistible and it looks like they could make a good team. But what is this trouble in paradise and how vulnerable are they all to some kind of enemy? Well done, Rhonda, you've set the scene beautifully here and ended on this very cautious note. I'm looking forward to discovering more. Warm wishes Debbie.
And they're (in)valuable?
Innocence and trust (are) nothing to be ashamed of
(As) much time as you need (the double 'as' sounded awkward)
Diantha might (not) know how to heal sick babies, but she knew... I wondered if you meant a negative before saying 'but'?

Hi Debbie,
Thank you so much for the six stars, my friend. I'm glad the chapter came across the way it was intended. It was sort of foundation building, then back to more intensity!!
Thanks for help with the spag as well. I made quite a few on this one, lol. I was focusing too much on content and forgot to pay attention to detail!!
Hugs,
Rhonda

Rhonda,
This is a great chapter to your book. I am coming into it in the middle, but I was still able to pick up enough to know what is going on. You are a very talented author.

Hi Cecilia,
You are so generous with your review!! I'm glad you come into the story now, and glad you were able to pick up on the storyline. The main part is about to get started, anyway. I hope you stay with it and let me know what you think.
Hugs,
Rhonda

I tried fanning you, but it says I'm at my limit. I only did one today. So hopefully I can keep track of you.
How is Wayne doing? I haven't heard any updates as of late.
-
That's funny, I didn't realize there was a limit. I guess I haven't reached mine, lol.
Wayne is doing okay. He's definitely had some ups and downs. I should probably do an update. Thanks for reminding me!!! Thanks, also, for keeping up with me!!
-
You are welcome my friend. I will try and fan you tomorrow. Would love and update on Wayne as I'm sure the rest of FS would. Take care and have a Blessed
day.

It's becoming really interesting at this stage, with the advent of Mary and her feisty daughters and sons, they are an interesting bunch, but add dimension to your story, so a really point your story is interesting point Rhonda. I pray you and Wayne are OK?, well done, blessings Roy

Hi Roy,
Thank you so much for the review. I know it's not full of action, but, like you said, it's there for texture to the book.
Wayne is doing better, thank you, and I've gone back to work 3 days a week. I hurt my back and hip bracing Wayne against the sink when he had the seizure and passed out. It's getting much better as well. I appreciate you asking!!

Praise God Rhonda for you both

Another fine chapter, Rhonda....and I know I shouldn't say this, but I'm glade Diantha got a job, I was starting to worry that she was just another lazier from somewhere else--not really, just in a gainful employment mood for all fictional characters!

Hehe. Yeah, she was a bit of a lay-about. It was actually intentional to show how she came from a life of privilege where nothing real was asked of her, and how she's learning to actually be a contributing part of the society. Great job of catching one of my side themes!!
Comment from Jacob1395
It sounds like Diantha is settling in well with Mary's household and they all seem like nice people who are happy to help her. Another engaging chapter, Rhonda, I really enjoyed reading it.

This is such a wonderful story with such interesting people. I would love to run away with Diantha to that valley. Have you been a pediatric nurse that you will have some skills to show off?

Hi Carol,
I'm with you, I'd love to take off and go to the valley!! A good happy place!!
I did go to nursing school, but decided to teach school instead, so I tend to like the medical world on the whole. I, also, have a friend who has 11 children and I was in the delivery room with her on most of them. I think if I had it all to do over, I would be a midwife!!
Hugs,
Rhonda

My grandmother was apprenticed as a midwife at 13. She delivered 200 babies and never lost one, although she did send 2 to the hospital because she knew there was a surgical problem. Then they made midwives illegal in Missouri.
-
Oh wow, what an amazing story. I'm so glad to hear of someone who knows a lot about it, or stories from your grandmother.
They are still legal in Texas. My daughter who has a friend that's one. I think if I could do it all over again, that's probably what I would choose to be.

Another terrific chapter with Diantha learning how different life is in Concorde Valley and opening up to them when normally she wouldn't. And it appears as if something bad is brewing as the men gather in the garden.
Smiles, Carol

Hi Carol,
Thanks for stopping by to review this chapter. I seem to have less time now that I'm working less than I did before. Oh well.
I appreciate you and your time,
Hugs,
Rhonda
