I guess she is right, I will not ride a horse like that either:""Where's your horse's saddle?" she asked as they left.

"We don't use them in Concorde Valley," Brandon explained. "A true horseman can guide with his words and the pressure of his knees."

Diantha hoped she didn't look as aghast as she felt. She had always loved to be around horses, and riding them was a great pleasure. But, bareback riding, she wasn't so sure about.

Hi Iza! Thank you so much for going back and reviewing my last chapter. I wouldn't want to ride that way, either, but there have been several cultures that have. I'm doing good to stay on with a saddle, lol.
    Take care,

Oooh, I knew I was going to enjoy this. However, now I am torn. I keep hoping
Atrius will become a man again, but this guy Brandon, as handsome as he is, I bet he has some dark secrets about him. Now I am really confused. Haha.

Of course that is why I love your book so much. You have so many twists and turns here in the village. Mary is already mysterious, in a very delightful way.

Now Brandon seems to have a few secrets of his own.
You are good, my dear friend. You are very good. So I will have to keep reading and find out what it is about this village that is going to make this even more intriguing than what I thought at first.

Thank you for this awesome book. I am so sorry I didn't even see you in the book of the month contest. I am just so used to always voting for Sally. Thanks again for this lovely review and for the awesome chapter. I absolutely loved it!!!!!
Love, Debi

    Hi Debi,
Thank you so very much for the stars and the sweet remarks. They were so very supportive and helpful in driving the next chapters.

I'm glad its exceeding your initial expectations. That's okay on the contest, I didn't even vote for myself, lol.

    Love you lots,
    Rhonda

Hello Rhonda,
Another well written chapter with excellent dialogue and, possibly, a little romantic competition with Brandon and Atrius, though I don't think Brandon has much of a chance, not when Diantha's heart leaps at the mere approach of Atrius.
Archery sounds like a good skill for Diantha to learn. Artemis (Diana) was the goddess of the hunt, expert with bow and arrow.
Well done.
Best wishes.
Robert

    Hi Robert,
Thank you so much for the lovely six stars and for all your comments.
Brandon is going to work on increasing his chances, lol.

Yes, good reflection on Artemis. It was intended. She's going to have to lean on that lady's skills to get what she wants later.

    Take care,
    Rhonda

I was wondering where Atrius was! I'm glad he showed up because poor Diantha was getting tempted to stray to a new attractive young man. Wonder what his hidden story is and why she senses danger about him. Glad she has so many people to help her to adjust to this new way of life and their culture.

    Hi Helen,
Thanks so much for the review!! Yes, Atrius was close-by, but I'm afraid the temptations and choices are not quite over. Three people have some decisions to make, and in the worst of circumstances.

    Hugs,
    Rhonda

Oh no! Not a love triangle! Hopefully, it won't be a recurrence of Hades!

Hehe, not in that way. He was a worthy opponent though, wasn't he?

I am very happy that Atrius has returned. I can't wait to see what he says about Brandon. I like Diantha with Atrius. Can't wait to read more.

That's okay. I brought you a bow that's easy enough to handle. ("That's okay. & handle.")

    Hi Barbara,
Yes, Diantha works better with Atrius, but Brandon is about to step up his game, lol. We'll see if Atrius can match it.

Another fine chapter, Rhonda, there's nothing like a handsome, slightly mysterious man showing you the ropes, or so I've been told. Personally I prefer Linda Carter in her Wonder Woman outfit, now there's my idea of a rope-shower!

Hehe, Hi Mike!! Yeah, I guess I could have thrown Linda Carter in in her oh so skimpy suit. Only fair, afterall.

Take care, and thanks, my friend,

Good artwork and story to go with it, Rhonda. A good introduction to the Burtons and Diantha's activities since being with them. The family is definitely helpful and Diantha probably isn't used to all of the interaction. A good discussion between her and Brandon about her archery experience. There seems to be some interest in her by Brandon, but I don't think Diantha is taken with him. She even thinks about a hint of danger. A nice contrast with the roses right after that.

I like the ending. I'm guessing Diantha was very pleased, too. Very well done.

Hi Pam, thank you so much for the review, my friend. I appreciate the six stars as well. You'll note I'm focusing more on moving the story than just presenting information. It seems to have worked.

You've really honed in on the relationship between Diantha and Brandon. More is coming on that part.

I'm glad the ending worked. I'll pick right up on that spot for the next chapter.

    Thank you again,
    Take care,
    Rhonda

You are very welcome, Rhonda, and I appreciate your reply. I did notice more focus on the story.

I'm glad, thanks. It's about to get more focused. I may seem to go down a rabbit hole, but it will have a definite purpose!

Her heart definitely belongs to Atrius, so I'm afraid Brandon's heart will be best kept for someone else. I wonder what the secret is and will Atrius tell her? This was another lovely chapter, Rhonda, I loved the descriptions of the garden, I would love to live there. Now I have to wait for the secret to be revealed. Well done, my friend. Warmest hugs, Sandra xxxx

    HI Sandra,
Thank you so much for the 6 stars, my friend!! Yeah, I'm not sure Diantha is all in, but there are about to see some more intense interactions that will make Diantha's choice, and Atrius' heart more difficult.
Secret is forthcoming in the next chapter!!

    Hugs,
    Rhonda

From all that I have read already, I am pretty much convinced that no other man other than Atrius will do for Diantha what she desires to have done. That is the stroking of her heart's desire. I am also convinced that in time it will happen.

Nolan, thank you so much for the six stars, my friend. Atrius and Diantha have to be together, right?? We'll see, lol.

    Thanks so much,

I want them to be together, but their fate is in the hands of someone mightier than me. (Smile).

Really drew me into the story, esp. toward the end with the senses of the horse's hooves and the other descriptions and then the cliff hanger, as her heart goes into her throat. Not consistent enough to appreciate the hard work and the depth of characters here. It explains why you are consistently nominated for book of the month too.

Awwww, Stan, thank you so much for the six stars, my friend.
I'll be honest, with all that's gone on with my husband, I haven't had the time or heart to spend as much time on this book as I should have. I've gotten dismally behind on reviewing as well.

I appreciate the stars and I appreciate your comments.
