Your poem really pulls me into the moment. The way you describe the
animal as especially "dark grey in color with characteristics of a mouse," builds such an eerie feeling. I can almost feel the fear and the rush as you and your friend quickly ran away. The line "It looked as tall as a house" really made the creature seem massive! You've captured the tension of the encounter so well. I love how it sticks with you at the end. Great work!
