Your poem captures a sudden feeling of fear so well! I love how quickly you draw me into the moment. Reading it feel that quick surge of panic! I love the final line "No! I've been caught short!" The way you share surprise and urgency in such a short space really makes the emotions stand out. It's a fun burst of energy! This one made me smile!

I think I would be scared if I saw a mouse running around my house! My daughter had a rat in her kitchen once when she was having an extension built and they got in through a hole in the wall! It ran up the stairs and everybody was screaming! A fun post, love Dolly x x x
