Glad Beau’s story appealed to you.
I love watching those National Geographic documentaries where we follow the day to day life of certain animal families.
The members are given names and viewers get engaged with their daily struggles and joys.
I tried to do something similar with Beau.

In line two of the final stanza watch should be watches.
I like the end and internal rhyme in this story poem. I uses the three words well. It also depicts how blood and guts give different reactions in different people.

I personally don’t see anything exciting in seeing prey killed especially by African wild dogs.
