Wow! Who would have imagined romance stirring in the trees-literally! I love how you built the trust factor in there with holding and leaning on him, and how you infuse nature and somehow make my mind's eye imagine the view from the trees too.

Oh, Stan, I love it!!!! Wow, I should add something into another chapter when she walks in the trees again, about how the trees feel. You nailed that idea!!! I'll make a fantasy writer out of you yet!

I do like to add nature in where I can, though, especially in a picturesque valley.

Thanks so much for the review, my friend. I'll be looking for your next post!!

Well, first things first! ....... He certainly is a hunk!! I'd not only walk in trees for him, I'd hop in clouds for him. Wow, you do know how to pick them. LOL..

However, walking in trees I never heard of before. So it was a nice concept of hiding from the enemy and a great strategy as they get ready to defend themselves and hide from their enemy.

I sensed a little romance brewing in the air and I think that she may be torn between her infatuation with Atrius and her feelings for Brandon.
I guess if Atrius is stuck as a centaur then I guess that would be good.

Oh my Rhonda, I would hate to be you right now and have such difficult decisions.
Which ever way you choose, you could break someone's heart. LOL. Just giving you a bad time. I am sure everyone will be fine. I just hope nothing happens to one of these wonderful guys while this little war is going on.

However, I do love your imagination. I have enough trouble trying to walk on a flat surface, let alone walking in trees. Haha! Love this book, loved the chapter, your characters too and you too. Thanks for the great read. Love, Debi

Thank you so much, Debi, for the lovely six stars and for the very detailed and lovely review. I give it a 6!!!

Yeah, I think I'd walk on clouds for him as well. At least Diantha has men to choose from as apposed to where she came from and she had an arranged marriage with someone who didn't want her. I have a feeling she'll sort it all out in the end, lol.

I actually heard about a group of people who walk in trees after I wrote the last book, which was about Concorde Valley and included tree walking. I was like, oh my gosh, there are real people out there that do it. I wouldn't last long if I had to, lol.

Thank you so much for being you. Love you bunches,
    Rhonda

Very nice story. Good dialoging.
To walk 'in' trees or 'on' trees? Had I been Diantha, I would have questioned why they needed to climb the tree at all.
Good luck with your book.

    Hi Wayne,
    Thanks for the review!
I wondered on the in and on as well. I went with in because they walk within the trees.
    Thanks for your comments,
    Rhonda

Hello Rhonda,
If only it were that easy; I'd be tree walking even at this older age, which actually might not be such a good idea, brittle bones and all.
I think I'll stay firmly planted to the ground, but Diantha did very well indeed.
Perhaps being a dancer helped too.
Brandon seems to have cast a spell on her, though I believe she also felt something unsettling (or dangerous) about him in the last chapter.
Tree walking remind me of the Gibbons flying through the tree effortlessly.
Well done.
Six trees to walk in with ease.
Best wishes.
Robert

Yeah, I'm afraid fantasy raises its clueless head on the walking being easy. However, after writing this, I found there is actually a group of people somewhere, I think South America, that do that. I'll have to look it up.

I'm going to post another chapter here in a few days that will be part 2 of this event. In it, she'll deal with Brandon on the attraction thing.
I like the analogy to the Gibbons. Wish I'd have thought of it too, lol.

Thank you for the six trees, my poetic friend!

    Take care,
    Rhonda

It is great that Diantha has found a way to be useful in the valley with her nurses training. Walking in trees sounds like the most wonderful thing to do in the world. Bradon is doing such a good job teaching her.

    Hi Carol,
Yes, Diantha is having fun with it all now, but even she realizes it's about to get real.
Thanks for the review, my friend,

Very good artwork and chapter to go with it, Rhonda. A good opening section between Brandon and Diantha about reasons for tree climbing. You do a good job with the push and pull between them at times. I think it comes from each one probably being a bit strong willed, and also Brandon knows the area and what is necessary, and Diantha is new to it all and maybe everything they are doing she doesn't see a point to, like when she talks about climbing one tree.

Brandon makes sure he explains the importance of things to Diantha without being condescending and also let her know that the people of this region respect the land and the natural aspect of it even if they are enemies.

Brandon is a good teacher and you do a good job with the process of visualizing the street and cobblestones so Diantha can acclimate herself to the trees when she is ready. A very good scene when they start dancing and moving with the music they hear. A very good conclusion to the chapter, my friend.

    Hi Pam,
Thank you so very much for the lovely six star review!!
It's funny how you picked up on the strong willed part, because it's something new for Diantha, who is used to being an accessory. It is emerging for her, though.

Brandon is a very patient man, something that marks most of the residents of the valley. There is a contrast building between their basic natures and what they have to be when forced.

I did want to bring in the piece about their respect of nature, something the Native Americans were all about, actually, still are. Fighting man, is fighting man, but nature, they believe is mother to us all.

I still have a part 2 to post, which I will probably do later this week.
They aren't out of the trees yet, lol.

    Take care,
    and thank you,
    Rhonda

This is a wonderful chapter, Rhonda. You make the characters and the imagery become alive. I can follow how she learned to walk trees. What a beautiful imagination you have. A big hug,

    Hi Ulla,
Thank you so much for the six stars, my friend.
I'm glad you were able to follow Brandon's instructions, lol. I'm sure you're about to jump up into a tree and start walking. I might if I'd had him for an instructor, lol.
    Hugs,
    Rhonda

I'm a little distressed that Diantha is distracted by Brandon as we know she belongs with Atrius.
However, I do like the use of metaphor to help Diantha learn to walk in trees. It's an analogy for us writers to learn to bring the reader to "walk in the trees" of our stories.

    Hi Helen,
Thank you so much for the six stars, my friend!!
Yes, Diantha is a bit distracted, but has her head and heat together. There is a part 2 to this chapter, and in it, Diantha will set Brandon straight, and maybe herself.

    Hugs,
    Rhonda

I think you've created something that I can't quite relate to, in dancing with a skilled dance partner, learning to trust their expertise would, for me, be very daunting, that, within its itself would be a dimension I would falter, I've learned to trust my own abilities, but as yet don't know their true capabilities, Diantha is very brave. Beautifully written Rhonda, blessings Roy

    Hi Roy,
Thank you so much for the review, my friend!! The dancing thing sounds good on the surface, not sure I'd make it far off the ground, hehe. Anyway, thank you for sharing you feelings on it.

    Take care,

Another fine chapter, Rhonda, sounds like a useful skill to learn, to both escape danger and an excuse to get vetical with a brawny dude. That Diantha, naughty!

    Hi,
Sorry, the message got sent to soon. I wasn't finished composing it. I was going to say, yes, walking in trees has to be a skill we all use on a daily basis, lol. Sounds fun, though, right?

Thanks so much for the review, my friend!!
