You won me on the 'beat' and on the rhyme and on the concept - and I jes' love American history. In reality, I was very impressed by your poem and it told a story in plain English. Ironically, on TV tonight - today is Wednesday - there is a story of the building of the Panama Canal

This seems like a general outlook on the past and accomplishments of man... the way it rhymes is great... with the pauses within the middle of each line. Good job
