Prayer does help in matters where there are concerning issues. Your little girl evidently believed in God. So she knew that if she prayed her watch would be returned. God is a good God even though sometimes life is troublesome.

Yes, that was amazing to all of us. I wrote a short story about that once and it was published in a religious magazine.

Love the mischief your children provide--scary though to swallow a pen. Hilarious to go to school with no panties.
Separate bank accounts-- a good solution.
I also thought the scripture said ten percent of your increase. --sounds better to me. I always thought the collection plate was to help the poor. It's actually used to pay for the minister's bills, etc. AT least at FRank's church, the diocese wanted to buy a pool!
That's some story about the watch. Good thing it has an identifying mark.

Hi, Beth, again you captivate me with your story of your day to day life with your family. It has such a captivating quality to it that I thoroughly enjoy. It was a wonderful new chapter. I'm glad your daughter got her watch back. Ulla:)))

I really did enjoy this story chapter. A child's faith in prayer was all that was needed to get her watch back. What a wonderful story about the trials of motherhood as well. Well done, Beth. Nancy:)

Thank you for sharing these memories. I really enjoy reading. I solved our check book issue, by giving my husband an allowance. If he needs more, he gets it, but that's how we solved it. I pay all the bills. I have been married before and he completely controlled all the all money. I never had a cent. I got $25 a weeks to buy groceries. It didn't cover the grocery bill. I vowed never to let that happen again. I didn't.

Thank you for the review and I do enjoy your comments. Good for you with the money. I've known several women who was given a grocery allowance and that was it. Almost all ended up getting divorces. Some men are very controlling. Thank goodness mine wasn't.

What a well-written, interesting piece. The first part with the children brought back a few incidents I had with my kids growing up. The hectic mornings, shuffling them off to daycare. The last part about the watch proves all we need is a little faith. I'm sure your children will enjoy these chapters, probably your grandkids too. Nicely done.

Hi Beth. Sorry I hav emissed so much. It's just hard to keep up with everybody on the site posting so much lately

Your chapter is well written and interesting. I'll bet you will never ever forget this ordeal:

" This was the disgusting job I had for the next week and a half before the offending object passed. Sometimes motherhood wasn't fun."

Keep up the good job my friend. I will be checking in again soon. :) Bob

Hi Bob, Thanks for the review. Don't worry about missing them. They all self contained so you can read when you can. I always appreciate you. I guess I don't forget a lot, except maybe what I did last week. LOL Check out my little dialogue thing called "the Recipe." It's short on page one I think.

Need a six for this one.So typical for the day. Ain't God good. You asked, He delivered. It also did something for those involved. Today I bet some remember the incident. My blessings to you Beth. Sounds so much like my Mary and our kids during those days. The bank idea for sure.

Thanks so much for the review and virtual six, I appreciate the thought. Carol remembers the incident. Don thinks he does but he probably just remembers us talking about it.

Kids very seldom like nap times.

In P1 because hands is plural, face should be faces, especially since you're talking about more than one child.

In P2 ear aches should be the compound word earaches

In P3 "in place where" should be in a place where

In P4 "for next week" should be for the next week

In P6 work load should be workload

In P8 "that actually sjowed" should be than actually showed

In P12 no need to capitalize Cap

My reviews are mere suggestions. Feel free to use anything that offers assistance and/or chuck the whole shebang.
